Genotyping

Our hearts go out to all those impacted by this pandemic, either directly or indirectly. We are living in an uncertain world right now, and we hope that each of you and your families are staying healthy.

We are still here for you. Transnetyx is fully functional and grateful for any way we can serve you and your research.

We recognize that many of you are experiencing severe operational disruptions related to your research, due to having limited to no access to facilities. If you find yourself needing to protect your lines during the shutdown, we are here to help. While Transnetyx does not provide cryopreservation or recovery services, we are able to provide Automated Genotyping, and Genetic Monitoring. These are essential steps to take before cryopreservation and can help ensure that the model you are preserving will be reproducible when you can get back to your work.

As always, our Genetic Services team is here to support you in any way we can during this difficult time. We hope you’ll reach out at help@transnetyx.com if we can provide any assistance.

Due to COVID-19 related challenges among our suppliers and vendors, we believe that it is in our customers’ best interests (both for the quality of the data underlying their research, and their experience with our microbiome testing service) to suspend testing temporarily. We are confident we can deliver this testing in the most accurate, efficient, and uninterrupted manner when we relaunch on October 19th.

This decision was a difficult one to make. We have been working for years to develop a Microbiome Analysis service for the animal and research communities, and remain deeply committed to this mission. Unfortunately, as all of us have come to recognize in recent weeks, the world is different today than it was three months ago. We are working aggressively to rectify the issues resulting in this temporary suspension of service.

If you are a customer who has used our Microbiome Analysis service, your results will of course remain accessible to you via your QuickOrder account. You can also log in to One Codex® directly to access your data.

Thank you for your understanding during these challenging times. We remain committed to open and transparent communication with our customers, and in the coming weeks will keep you informed of our timeline to relaunch the service. Genotyping and genetic monitoring services are unaffected, and we will continue to process those samples as usual with no decline in quality or accuracy.

Should you have any questions regarding the suspension of the service, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Genetic Services Team by calling 1 888 321 2113 or emailing us at help@transnetyx.com.

A message to our valued customers:

With all that is happening in the world, we are once again reminded of the critical role research plays in the discovery of solutions to significant global problems.

In spite of recent world events, we want you to know that Transnetyx is equipped and prepared to continue functioning at 100% capacity. Our automation and technology afford us the ability to provide uninterrupted testing services without jeopardizing the health and welfare of our employees, or the community in which we live.

We commit to notifying you immediately if circumstances beyond our control impact our ability to serve you.  However, presently all of our vendors and suppliers seem similarly well-equipped for the challenges we are facing.  If anything, current events have strengthened our commitment to ensure you have the accurate and timely results on which your research depends.

Thank you again for everything you do.  We recognize that we benefit daily from your tireless efforts, and that you need us now more than ever. We appreciate the lives we enjoy largely due to your work, and are so grateful to be able to serve you and your research.

Thank you,

To our valued European customers (March 12, 2020):

Yesterday, in a public address to residents of the United States, President Donald Trump implemented a 30 day travel ban for individuals traveling to the United States from Europe (excluding the UK). Shortly thereafter, he clarified that the ban is in regards to “people and not goods” as it relates to mitigating the risks of transmitting COVID-19. Due to the unprecedented nature of this travel ban, we understand there may be a lot of confusion as to what this means for you and your samples.

Please be reassured that you can continue to send your samples to Transnetyx for processing. Transnetyx is open for business, does not anticipate any disruption in laboratory operations and is ready to serve you.

As always, we are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Our Genetic Services team is available to serve and answer questions at help@transnetyx.com.

Thank you for the privilege of continuing to serve your research!
